Poster presentation

Invitation to present a poster at the Congress ‘’Joining forces. New Perspectives: The Future of Mental Health for Deaf People.
February 7th, 8th, 9th 2024, Haarlem, The Netherlands

Poster presentations are an accessible, concise and highly visual way of transferring and sharing information. They are an important part of the Congress. There will be ample opportunity to present and discuss posters.

→ Have you recently…

  • Set up new scientific research on Mental Health for Deaf people or obtained new results from existing research?
  • Set up a project that is of practical importance for future assistance to Deaf people with mental health problems?
  • Set up a project with the aim of preventing mental health problems

→ And would you like to share your work with an international group of colleagues and other interested parties in our field?

→ Then we invite you to submit an abstract for a poster presentation: From 15 September to 1 December at the latest!

After reviewing and accepting your abstract, you can present your poster during a poster session.

The main factors to qualify abstracts for acceptance concern both the clarity of the abstract (regarding background, target, method, conclusions, and presentation) and the significance of the contribution to the Congress’ themes as described in the programme.

All accepted posters will be displayed throughout the whole Congress in a central room at the venue that the public often passes by during the day. During breaks, lunch, before and after the programme you can explain your poster yourself and exchange thoughts with the attendants about your work.

Poster Prizes!
Prizes will be awarded to the three best posters. Two prizes are awarded by a jury of professionals in the field who base their judgment on criteria such as its scientific merit or the relevance to the practice of mental health care for Deaf people in the future. A third prize is awarded by the Congress visitors themselves. The three winners will be invited to present their poster in a combined plenary session on the main stage on the closing afternoon of the Congress.
